Field Trippin'

Last Friday we took a walking field trip to Home Depot (it's about a quarter mile away) with over 130 students.  It was AWESOME!

When we arrived they brought us on a tour of the store and talked to the kids about the lifecycle of a plant.  Our guide taught the kids a chant (see the video below) that we did as we moved from one point to the next.  It was the perfect way to keep 130 six and seven year olds engaged!

After our tour and lesson all of the students were able to re-pot a flower to give to their Mom for Mother's Day!

We spent the rest of the afternoon creating a Mother's Day gift and relaxing (field day the day before).

If you're looking for a great place to field trip with a large group try Home Depot, they were beyond generous and the kids had a blast!  Check out the Home Depot chant!

Leave me a love note! If you leave something nasty I'll hunt you down and karate chop you. Real talk. My computer has spyware. I know where you live :)
